In what is now tradition, the teaser trailer for the next entry in Supermassive Games' Dark Pictures Anthology has been revealed during the closing moments of the previous one, The Devil in Me, which actually isn't even officially out yet, interestingly enough. The series is moving to a sci-fi setting for the next spooky instalment, which has been revealed to be Directive 8020.
YouTuber Slimpy shared the teaser, which will kick off Season 2 of The Dark Pictures series of games. Details are scant, but we would be willing to surmise the vibe this time will be claustrophobic hard science fiction, in the manner of the Alien film franchise. All we really know is that something has gone very, very wrong on the ship Cassiopeia, en route to planet Tau Ceti f. It's a pretty cool setup and one we are sure we will learn more about when the time is right.
What do you think of this tease for the next entry in The Dark Pictures Anthology, Directive 8020? Let us know in the comments section below.

You’ve got to admire their commitment to this series.
Now this is a welcomed change! House of Ashes was a standout in season 1,so hopefully the space setting can do similar good things.
Seeing a game take place in space by Supermassive Games is going to be interesting. I hope it turns out well at some point in the future since I love the whole space setting a lot.
I hope Season 2 transitions to UE5.
The Matrix Experience demo is a great example of how a game could get that cinematic quality. Dark Pictures games don't need to be 60fps, so UE5 at that fidelity really would be a match made in heaven.
Now we're talking.
I loved the sci fi aspect of House of Ashes which was easily the best game out of season one so a whole ass hard sci fi horror game could be amazing I can’t wait
These are pretty fun, sci-fi setting would be great
Sounds almost a pity it's coming to the shorter Anthologies range...the sci-fi setting/Alien scenario would be right at home in a longer setting like The Quarry!
@dark_knightmare2 @Leonhart Same here, should be a fun time hopefully! I loved what little I played of Until Dawn.
All of my yes. Space horror is a seriously underused genre. Callisto Protocol and Dead Space remake releasing in the next couple of months is like a relative tsunami of content.
I do hope their next mainline game is in space as well.
